The Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk For The Cure: Because 1 in 8 is 1 too many

What is it and how can I help?

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™ is a 60-mile walk over the course of 3 days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.

Our team will be selling items to raise money as well as taking donations. You can make a donation and find out more information HERE.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Why Do I Walk?

I walk because 1 in 8 is unacceptable.

Cancer has touched too many people in my life. Sound familiar? It's a growing sentiment. For women, 1 in 8 will be told they have breast cancer. Think about all of the women in your life: grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters, cousins, aunts, nieces, friends, co-workers… Now think about what these odds means to all of these women.

This year I'm doing something about the toll this disease has taken on the women in my life, and the ones it will affect in the future.

I'm raising money for research and awareness about early detection. Early detection is the key to success for your treatment; it can make the difference between losing or winning the battle.

The research your donations fund today help doctors to better understand how this complicated disease works, helping them to better treat patients.

Hopefully you'll never need to benefit from the research you help to fund but with odds like 1 in 8 women, odds are someone you love will.

That's why I walk.
